The last week or so there has been a real uptake in the plants. We have actually had salad from the greenhouse for the last four days in a row. The salad will get better once the green peppers and other stuff is ready but for right now the lettuce, kale and a few others are amazing! Here is a picture of the greenhouse.

As you can see the potatoes in a bucket are growing well. The potatoes planted outside are really coming along well now as well. The challenge is the weeds, they are overtaking the potatoes. Fortunately the wood splitting project is coming along and generating enough saw dust to cover and kill the weeds. The sawdust will decompose and become part of the soil. Here are two pictures, a before and after with and without the sawdust.

As I get more wood splitting done I will be adding more saw dust to the other gardens to help stop the weeds and as an added bonus they will help the soil retain moisture.

The green pepper plants are starting to flower and overall it is all going very well.
